Today marks 99 days until the Iowa State Fair August 13th – 23rd. Chief Marketing Officer Mindy Williamson calls the fair the 11 best days of the summer and she says the theme for this year is Fair Spirit. This is a play off of the theme from 50 years ago celebrating Americas 200th birthday with Spirit of America.
Williamson says that right now fair goers can save themselves a little money by purchasing their tickets ahead of time.
The themed tickets this year are America themed for the 250th anniversary. The saving does not end with early tickets
Many fair goers are interested in the new foods for the Iowa State Fair and the new foods will be announced on July 7th and then on July 14th is when they announce the top new foods for 2026.
