The City of Marshalltown announced yesterday that one of the city buses carrying students got into an accident. During the afternoon sometime, a bus that was taking students home from school when another vehicle failed to yield and pulled out in front of the bus causing an accident. According to the release, a second bus was dispatched to transport passengers, however, some had chose to leave the scene on foot.
Anyone involved in the accident who is experiencing pain or believes they may have been injured and has not yet sought care is encouraged to seek medical attention. The city will continue to monitor the situation, Marshalltown Police, Marshall County Sheriff, and UnityPoint all responded to the scene.
