The Marshalltown Area United Way has announced the hiring of their next Executive Director, Debbie Collins.  Collins comes from Macomb, Illinois and brings a plethora of experience with her over 20 years working with non-profit administration, public health, and higher education.

She most recently was the Director of Victim Services at Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Agency where she worked her way up to that role.  She previously was the Sexual Assault Program Coordinator, Medical Coding Billing Specialist, Medical Assistant and Compliance Officer. Her background includes grant management, fiscal oversight, staff leadership, and strong community partnership development — skills that align closely with the mission and operational needs of Marshalltown Area United Way.

Part of the reason Collins was interested in the job was to move closer to family in Central Iowa.  Collins will officially begin in the middle of April.
