According to Marshalltown Police Chief Chris Jones, only 14 tickets have been written for people not using the back in parking downtown correctly.

Chief Jones says many times they are trying to educate people before writing a ticket

Chief Jones says most of the 14 tickets were vehicles where they could not find an owner.  Overall Chief Jones has been happy with how the community has responded to the new parking in downtown.
