Saturday and Sunday the Marshalltown YMCA will be packed full of youth swimmers competing for the YMCA State Swim meet.
That is Marshalltown YMCA CEO Kim Jass-Ramirez who says this is the Blue Wave swim team at the Y who is competing.
The boys will compete on Saturday and the girls will compete on Sunday and over 500 swimmers will be competing this weekend. 22 of those swimmers are part of the Blue Wave Swim team, 12 boys and 10 girls.
This event is free and open to the public. Swimmers will take their mark around 10am each morning.
