According to Marshalltown Police Chief Chris Jones, there have been 24 fraud complaints in the first 7 weeks of the new year.  That is over 3 complaints a week.

Chief Jones is worried about the internet scams because it is people who are getting tricked online.

Those people gaining access to home personal computers are then using it to find their passwords and taking money right from accounts.

Chief Jones says if you experience anything suspicious and someone trying to get access to your computer, reach out to the Marshalltown Police Department.
