This week the Marshalltown Community School district is celebrating Public Schools Week. This week is about recognizing the vital role public education plays in preparing students for success and strengthening the Marshalltown community. Marshalltown Community Schools are guided by their mission, “We develop learners who have the knowledge, skills and positive mindset to successfully pursue a meaningful future through personalized learning experiences.”
Recent results from the Iowa School Performance Profile highlight continued progress across the district. MCSD has shown positive growth in key academic indicators, including student growth and graduation rates. These gains reflect the dedication of staff, the perseverance of students and the strong partnership between schools and families.
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Theron Schutte says in the press release, “Public schools are the heart of our community because they are the only institutions built on the promise of serving every child, regardless of background, ability, or zip code.”
