The Marshalltown Bobcat Boys Wrestling team is set to host their District Tournament this Saturday at the Roundhouse. Head Coach Lucas Cross’ message has been heard by the wrestlers, the little things matter. Eat right, sleep right, and mentally prepare for what is coming.
Stepping Stone was a phrase used by a couple of wrestlers this week, Nick Wise has had his eye on a State Championship all year long. He knows, Districts is just one step closer to the final goal.
Wise is right, he has been ranked at #2 at the 144 weight class for majority of the season, he sits at 32-1 with his only loss being to the #3 wrestler from Ames by a 7-4 minor decision. Another top ranked wrestler is Dalton Zednichek who is coming back from injury. He wrestled for the first time in a couple months last weekend in Iowa Falls.
Zednichek was ranked #5 in the 190 weight class before his injury and says he is ready to show people that he is back and at 100%. Districts is Saturday, February 14th at 10am at the Marshalltown Roundhouse
