This week at the Iowa State Capitol, there were some local representatives beyond who we voted to be there.  Kara Warme, State Senator in District 26, says the Marshalltown FFA, Future Farmers of America, group was there.

She says the 4H groups were also down at the Capitol this week and they were sharing stories about teaching agriculture to younger youth in Marshall County.  Warme also saw Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Director Dylan Does this week as it was Tourism Day.

Warme will be joining KFJB on Monday morning for Open Forum to talk further about the beginning of the Legislative Session and some of the committees she is sitting on.
