Announced over the weekend, former Marshalltown Police Chief, Michael Tupper, will be running for the Iowa House in District 52.  District 52 is currently held by Republican David Blom.  Tupper said in a Facebook post over the weekend, “I am running for Iowa House 52 to restore community-focused leadership and trust at the Capitol.”

Tupper has spent 32 years working in law enforcement before retiring in 2025.  Some things Tupper plans to focus on are; Fully Funding public schools, tackling the affordability crisis in Iowa by working to make housing cheaper for working families, and working with local officials to keep our communities safe.
