As of Wednesday, December 3rd, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.65 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 10 cents from last week’s price and are down 3 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.00, down 6 cents from last week’s price but still 35 cents higher than the average price in Iowa.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 6 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.61. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.28 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 12 cents lower than the national average of $3.73.
Natural gas prices were up 55 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $5.00 MMbtu.
