Last night La Carreta took over the nightly meal at the House of Compassion in downtown Marshalltown.  According to their Facebook page, La Carreta served 300 people last night at the House of Compassion.  The 300 people served is a record for the House of Compassion and much more than the 65 people they have been seeing nightly.

La Carreta said on their Facebook page, “Thank you to everyone who offered support, volunteered, or made a contribution to make this night possible. We hope everyone enjoyed the great food, warm smiles, and the spirit of community that makes Marshalltown so special.”

The La Carreta Mexican Grill Facebook page gives information about their business but also has been updating the community on places people can find local food banks and more.
