As of the 3pm update yesterday, the case count for Legionnaire’s Disease is at 61 in Marshall County. There has only been 1 dead reported related to Legionnaire’s Disease and that was an elderly individual who had other medical complications on top of Legionnaire’s Disease.
Cooling towers and other warm water sources are being tested but the tests can take multiple days and even weeks to get results. The tests are being done in Iowa City. More information about the disease can be found on the Marshall County Iowa Public Health Facebook page.
