70% of Iowans who attend the Iowa State Fair are there to try some delicious food. This year the Iowa State Fair will have around 67 new foods for people to try, which is just over 6 different foods each day of the fair. The Iowa State Fair App can help fairgoers find all of that delicious new food.
That is Iowa State Fair Chief Marketing Officer Mindy Williamson who says the app will take you throughout the fairgrounds just like GPS would when you are driving. Williamson shares that people can vote for the best new food and best new drink on the app or their website.
There are two categories for drinks, those with alcohol and drinks without. The fair will kickoff August 7th and run through the 17th. Williamson is the guest for Open Forum this morning and the whole conversation will be posted at 1230kfjb.com after 9am.
