With the regular season ended, the Iowa Alliance Conference Softball Coaches have submitted their ballots for All-Conference awards and the Bobcats have a few names that made the list. Aubree Mundt was an outfield honorable mention, Briley Danielson, Laney Danielson, and Kate Sandvick made second team, Sandvick and Laney Danielson being unanimous selections, and snagging a first team outfield spot was leadoff hitter and center fielder Gianna Baune. Congratulations, Bobcats on this accomplishment.

Softball isn’t the only sport making waves with postseason awards as girls golf star Natalie Henson took home the Player of the Year award in the state of Iowa. We spoke with Henson as well as coach Lucas Johnson regarding her career and the season, and Henson highlighted the importance of her teammates

Henson then spoke on winning player of the year and what it means for her.

Henson says she’ll continue playing golf in college, but as far as her professional career, she’s got other ideas.

Congratulations to Natalie Henson on a tremendous high school career with the Bobcats. To catch the full interview with Henson and head coach Lucas Johnson, head over to 1230kfjb dot com and click on the central Iowa Today link by going to the interviews tab at the top of the page.
