As of Wednesday, June 4th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.94 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 1 cent from last week’s price and are down 28 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.14, down 2 cents from last week’s price is 20 cents higher than the average price in Iowa.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 1 cent this week with a statewide average of $3.31. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.55 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 21 cents lower than the national average of $3.52.
Natural gas prices were up $.10 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $3.72 MMbtu.
