As the school year is coming to a close for the Marshalltown Community School District, the summer feeding program is gearing up to start. Starting June 11th, the Marshalltown Community School District will offer free lunches to anyone under 18 years old, but the meals need to be eaten on site.
That is Director of Food Service with the Marshalltown Community School District, Lynne Large. She says there are a total of 11 different pick-up sites throughout town and the Elementary School sites follow Bobcat University while others will be all summer long.
Large mentions that there is a new part to the summer feeding program on Fridays at Miller Middle School.
