Tomorrow starts the 115th running of the Drake Relays. This event brings runners and field competitors to Des Moines from across the world. There will be Olympic champions competing throughout the week-long event. The final Saturday, April 26th, is THE day for Track and Field enthusiasts.

That is Drake Relays Director Blake Bolden. He says they will have a 2 hour time slot on CBS Sports Network on April 26th. He says they have 3 Olympic Champions confirmed to compete next Saturday. He starts with the man who throws shot put.

Davis’ Husband, Hunter Woodhall, is a double amputee and a Para-Olympic champion.

Bolden says the mile record at Drake Stadium has stood for 50 years and that could be broken next Saturday by an Iowan. Bolden will be the guest for Central Iowa Today, but the full conversation will be posted at 1230kfjb.com just after 1pm today. Learn more at Drakerelays.org
