Monday night of the Drake Relays crowns the Most Beautiful Bulldog but Tuesday is the Grand Blue Mile. Director of the Drake Relays, Blake Bolden, says some of the silliness from Monday will bleed into Tuesday as they will have a mascot race.

This year they are adding a family friendly event for youth called Spike Sprint. Spike is the Drake Mascot

The Grand Blue Mile will have over 3000 people participating. They will start and finish the Grand Blue Mile on Grand Street in Des Moines. The Grand Blue mile is the 2nd largest 1 mile event in America. Tickets and more information on the Drake Relays can be found at drakerelays.org
