The Marshalltown Community School District reviewed their social media presence at the last School Board meeting.  Abby Koch was hired as the new Communications Director last April, and she began meeting with the principal of each school to talk about social media.

Koch then assembled a team to support the social media pages and those running the accounts, the MCSD Social Media Ambassadors. Koch took it a step further and reached out to a professional in the social media world.

Gribble then reviewed the School Districts Social Media and has been working with the staff since February.  Gribble then made a presentation at the School Board meeting about how the Marshalltown School District is doing.

Koch says the few workshops with Gribble has given confidence to the staff to make more posts and share more stories.  Each building has their own Facebook page that parents can follow to get specific information.
