The Wednesday morning regular Marshall County Board of Supervisors meeting discussed where Marshalltown’s Ward 3 polling location would be. Recently the County talked about moving away from the MACC, Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center, because it would cost the County too much money, roughly $1,500 or more per election. Nan Benson, Marshall County Auditor/Recorder, has mentioned they were looking at a few places in Ward 3 recently on KFJB. It was announced Wednesday they would have the location at Our Savior Lutheran Church, located at 3001 S 6th. St. across from the old Skate Town. The Church will NOT charge the county to be a polling location. Mailers will be sent out to note the official change on or just after May 20th.
