Recently the Marshalltown Central Business District had a crazy idea to purchase the bandshell from Marshall County.  With all the support for the Community Ice Rink, MCBD Executive Director, Deb Millizer, thought the bandshell could be used so much more throughout the community.

Millizer wanted to make it easy to rent the Bandshell and wanted to see it used more.  Her idea is that with everything the MCBD is involved in, the bandshell will get more use at these events.

Millizer’s goal is to keep the original purpose of the bandshell and make it available to the community for different events.  She mentions a few different ideas she has, there are some exciting things that will come to Marshalltown.
