Saturday night, a car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed in the 500 block of South 18th Ave. in Marshalltown.  According to the Marshall County Sheriffs Office, the car was estimated to be traveling above 100 mph in a 35 mph speed limit zone.  A Deputy activated their lights and pulled the car over, when the deputy then approached the vehicle, the car took off.  The vehicle was clocked traveling at 102 mph in a 25mph zone before fleeing northbound on Highway 14 out of town.  The chase went from Marshall to Tama County on Highway 96, and eventually Iowa State Patrol helped on the pursuit.  Eventually the car stopped due to engine issues and authorities detained the driver and 3 passengers.  The driver is 18-year-old Anthony Harding of Marshalltown.  Harding was on a temporary home visit from his placement in in the Iowa State Training School in Eldora.  Harding was arrested and charged with several offenses including Operating While Intoxicated.
