Today is the day!  We will see the Iowa Wild Ice Rink on the corner of Main St. and Center St. in downtown Marshalltown be filled up with water.  Mother nature will drop the temperatures low enough this week that Geoff Hubbard, Marshalltown Park and Recreation Director, feels will create ice.

As Geoff mentions, the city plans to use flags to let the public know when the Ice is skateable.

The City will need to close part of Center Street today starting at 1pm.  Center Street from Main Street to Church Street will be closed starting at 1pm this afternoon, they anticipate it will take a few hours to fill the rink.
