Last night at the Marshalltown City Council meeting, the city was awarded with a HUD Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Program. Jackie Pippin, who manages the housing and development grants, she talks about how successful Marshalltown has been receiving these grants.
Julie Sleeper, Senior Management Analyst from HUD, was in attendance and spoke about the progress made in Marshalltown.
Last night the City of Marshalltown received a check that is worth $5,026,330 for Lead Hazard reduction and healthy home supplemental funding. This money will be used to continue to inspect houses for lead paint in our community.
