Mid-Iowa Council Boys Scouts of America held their 13th annual Governors Luncheon for Scouting this week. Lt. Gov. Adam Greg was in attendance along with Hall of Fame QB and Iowa native, Kurt Warner.
That is Ben Chiochon, Director of Field Service with Mid-Iowa Council. Mid-Iowa Council covers 27 counties in central and southern Iowa. He tells me the money raised at the Luncheon would support different activities they have at their camp, Camp Mitigwa.
Ben shares that they are still totaling the donations but estimates they raised roughly $250,000 for scouting! For more information about scouting you can visit scoutingiowa.org
