The first ever girls state wrestling tournament is happening today and tomorrow. The tournament is taking place at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. Kyle Martin will be providing updates throughout the day on 1230 KFJB.
The Boys Swimming districts are coming up this Saturday, February 4th. The Marshalltown Bobcats are guardedly optimistic, according to coach Mike Loupee. He mentions that the team feels tired and they feel slow in the water, but their times look good, so that is a good indicator. Marshalltown is ranked 18th right now, but look to face #3 Ames and #5 Ankeny this weekend, also #21 Indianola will be there. Coach Loupee feels the competitive nature will help the Bobcats put up their best times yet.
Tonight will be the Teachers vs Students in bowling! The Bowling team will take on the teachers at Wayward Social tonight starting around 5pm. Bobcat Live will be heading over to Wayward Social tonight and starting early, around 5:30 for some coverage of the event. We will highlight the Bowling teams, Cheerleading Squad, and talk with Basketball coaches Mike Appel for the Boys team and Coach Murphy with the Girls team.
