Students from Marshalltown High School have been selected for the All-State Band. This is one of the highest honors a student can receive in music. Senior Averi Bolar, vocals, and Junior Ethan Santana, orchestra, both made it to All-State.

Brett Umthun, the high school Band Director had a lot of good things to say about Ethan who made the orchestra, which is the top ensemble, and he was 2nd chair.
Congratulations to Ethan and Averi on their accomplishment of making All-State in Band and Choir. Dr. Theron Schutte, Superintendent of schools, said it will be different hearing a new voice sing once Averi graduates.
