Marshalltown Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in a local domestic incident.

Nineteen-year-old Christian Martinez was arrested by police Wednesday afternoon after the department received a report of  an apparent domestic incident at 307 1/2 South 2nd Street.

Martinez was formally charged by police with Domestic Abuse Assault, Strangulation.

On Wednesday morning, the Marshalltown Police Department received word of an apparent theft incident involving a motor vehicle on the city’s north side.

According to a police incident report, a vehicle belonging to Auturo Manzo-Zapeda was stolen from 5 North 7th Street early Wednesday morning.

The incident remains under investigation by Marshalltown police.
