A 13-year old is in juvenile detention on attempted murder charges after a Saturday morning stabbing in Grinnell.

Police responded to Melrose Lane around eight Saturday morning and found a 43 year old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The person who called in the stabbing indicate he stabbed another family member. The stabbing victim is expected to recover.
