Farmers…and others continue to wonder just how the drought over the past year or more will affect this year’s harvest. ISU Extension and Outreach Field Agronomist Meghan Anderson says Marshall County has been a bullseye when it comes to the drought, with some locations with a rain deficit of up to 20 inches.

Anderson says any rain right now really won’t impact the harvest. As far as some predictions the winter will be dry,. Anderson says dry is one thing, but what farmland will really need is some snow cover.
