Ames was second, Marshalltown fourth at the CIML Boys Conference Track Meet yesterday. Centennial captured the overall team title.
The Bobcats Deonte Dean won the 100 and 200-meter dashes, while Conner Smith took the 32-hundred meter.
Ames’ Aniey Akok captured the 800 and 1600 meter runs, the Little Cyclones won the 4 x 800 Relay, Tate Zalasky took the high jump, while Tamin Lipsey won the long jump and Gabe Greenlee tossed the discus the furthest.
On the girls side, Ames finished 3rd, Marshalltown 6th at the conference meet. Ankeny took the team title.
