COVID-19 did not take any time off over the holiday weekend.

43 more deaths reported since we visited at Noon on Friday, two of them in Marshall county and five in Jasper County.   To date,  23 deaths due to the virus in Tama County, 16 in Jasper County and 11 in Marshall County. 461 deaths to date in the state.

Confirmed cases rose 851 since Friday to 16,417. Marshall County led our area with 18 new cases for 970.
