Both Marshall and Jasper Counties have recorded their first fatalities as a result of COVID-19, says the Iowa Department of Public Health. An elderly patient has passed in Marshall County, with an older adult dying in Jasper County. 12 new deaths total reported today for 148.

Confirmed cases rose by 467 to 6,843. Marshall County added 25 to that list for 459, Jasper 21 for a county total of 130. Tama County now with 264 cases diagnosed and Poweshiek County 55.

Nearly 35 and a half thousand negative tests results have been reported to date.
