A Collins woman is dead after she failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Highway 30 in Story County last evening.
Gayle Lawton continued through the intersection on 580th Avenue after stopping and her car was struck by a westbound car driven by Amanda Wierson, also of Collins. Lawton was life flighted to Methodist Hospital, where she later died.
