The Sac & Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa will be receiving federal disaster assistance after approval by President Donald Trump. The Meskwaki Nation Settlement is among the areas still recovering from storms and flooding during the latter half of March.

It is the first time the Tribe has had the capability to directly apply for such funds. The funding will be available on a cost-sharing basis for emergency infrastructure work and facility repair and/or replacement.
