The women’s basketball program at Drake has received a boost…about five million of them.

That’s the size of the gift Suzie Glazer Burt has made to the program.

Under coach Jennie Baranczyk the Bulldogs have won three straight Missouri Valley Conference titles and played in three straight NCAA Tournaments. Drake president Marty Martin says it is the largest non-capital gift to a women’s basketball program in NCAA history.

Glazer Burt and her late husband, Greg have been supporters of Drake University for decades.
