Federal drug officers have arrested two men in Marshalltown after confiscating an estimated 40 pounds of methamphetamine.
KCCI-TV reports it all began with a traffic stop by a Cass County sheriff’s deputy, who pulled over Reymundo Pacheco.
Pacheco explained he got the meth in Tijuana, Mexico. He then rented a Jeep in California and was told to deliver the drugs to a man in Marshalltown.
Pachecho agreed to wear a wire when he delivered the meth to the parking lot of the Super 8 motel in Marshalltown.
Javier Arredondo was arrested after he took possession of the drugs.
Authorities say the case is still under investigation.
