Those are the decisions facing U-Haul after the Marshalltown City Council approved the rezoning of Meadow Lane Mall to allow interior storage, but no change was made regarding the company’s desire to add two exterior storage units.

Randy Dickson of U-Haul says the due diligence on buying the property is expiring this month.

Dickson attempted to refute some of the criticism of allowing exterior buildings on the site, but the Council only voted on a resolution stating the zoning change was for the interior of the building and not changing any of the zoning outside of the building.
