Two Marshalltown Police Officers are on paid administrative leave in the wake of a drug bust that nearly turned bad yesterday morning.
Police Chief Mike Tupper says the officers, assisting the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force, were part of a drug bust at 302 North 2nd Street.
The suspect was armed and the two officers fired their weapons. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The suspect was taken into custody and the investigation is continuing. The name of the suspect, nor the names of the officers involved have been released.
