While some northern Iowa highways continue to deal with the effects of Sunday’s blizzard, most roads are back to seasonal driving conditions in the state.
But for a span of 72 hours over the weekend, the Iowa State Patrol responded to 145 crashes and more than a thousand stranded motorists.
The ISP advises drivers on the roads today to buckle up, put the smart phone away and put plenty of distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you — because there are still a lot of icy spots on the highways.
