You still have the opportunity to make a Veteran’s holiday via the Adopt A Vet program sponsored by the Marshalltown Central Business District.
Stars with a vet’s name are at Hellberg Jeweler’s, Black Tire and Premier Real Estate. Fauna Nord says if the 37 stars are gone, you can still adopt a vet. CAsh gifts that the residents may use in the IVH Canteen are always welcome.
Nord says the residents at the Iowa Veteran’s Home were chose because they do not have any family or friends to share the holidays with. All the goodies, along with cookies, will be given out at a Christmas Party Sunday the 9th at IVH.
