Marshalltown may have not been able to best Fort Dodge on the football field, but our area’s finest bested Fort Dodge when it came to fundraising for Special Olympics.

The Annual Cop On A Rooftop fundraiser at Dunkin Donuts last month in Marshalltown a record setter in helping raise funds for Special Olympics Iowa. Marshalltown officers and deputies raised over 35-hundred dollars to best 20 other locations in the state, besting Fort Dodge for the first time. Rachel Bosworth of Special Olympics says the Special Olympic Athletes are so grateful to the efforts of County law enforcement.

Dunkin Donuts also made a contribution of two thousand dollars in honor of all the money raised in Iowa, which totaled $30,811.
