You may remember a couple of weeks ago, we shared with you that the Marshalltown Class of 1969 had begun a fund raising effort to replace trees damaged in the July 19th tornado.
Class representatives Lyle Jensen and Billy Wilson requested that The Marshall County Board of Supervisors support their effort to plant as many as 30 news trees on the Courthouse grounds down the road.
Jensen says the cost of the trees looks to be around $125 to $150 per tree. So far, the MHS Bobcat Alumni Fund has already received commitments for about 22 thousand of its 50 thousand dollar goal.
