An anticipated, Governor Kim Reynolds late Friday submitted an appeal of the denial of individual federal assistance in the wake of the July 19th tornado.
After receiving the denial from FEMA on September 18th, the Governor says state agencies were able to generate a “much clearer picture” of the direct and indirect impact from the twisters that not only hit Marshalltown, but areas of Polk County as well.
When FEMA will respond to the appeal is anyone’s guess.
