U-S Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue was in Iowa last week,  repeating President Trump’s pledge to have the E-P-A reverse a rule to allow year-round use of the E-15 blend of ethanol. Cassidy Walter, spokeswoman for the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, says Purdue told a group of 200 Iowa farmers that an announcement from the White House on E-15 could come within the  week.

Walter says Iowa farmers “are hurting” and oppose any concessions to oil companies for year-round use of E-15, including any more refiner waivers to the Renewable Fuel Standard.
