The Marshalltown girls volleyball team opened the season with a convincing straight set win over Des Moines Hoover last night in the Roundhouse.  The cats chased the Huskies 25-8, 25-4 and 25-8.

Ames defeated Lincoln, but fell to Dowling and Waukee in a quad meet.

West Marshall defeated Aplington-Parkersburg in straight sets.

GMG went 1 and 3 at the Montezuma Tourney, earning a win over Lone Tree.

Colo-NESCO downed Martensdale-St. Mary’s in straight sets.

Dallas Center Grimes swept away Newton in three sets.

Grundy Center downed West Branch, AGWSR and Hudson in a quad meet.

Lynnville-Sully needed five sets to edge Baxter.

South Hamilton posted a straight set win over South Hardin.
