One of the first community events that was wiped out after the tornado was the Marshalltown Arts Festival. It was moving to the downtown area and centered on the Courthouse Square, just two days after the tornado.
A decision was made to cancel this year’s festival, but Amber Danielson says the plans are already underway for 2019.
The 2019 date, July 20th, one day after the one year anniversary of the twister. The theme for the festival probably didn’t take long to choose. It will be Marshalltown strong.
