There were a number of items approved by the Marshalltown City Council on Monday evening.

An Economic Development Grant for nearly $17,000 was approved to assist in the demolition of the former funeral home chapel at East State and N. 3rd Ave;

An E-28 Agreement for continued support of the Emergency Communications System for Marshall County;

The purchase of a new 25-foot bus for the transit department, with 85% of the $113,000 will be paid via state funds;

and the 2018-2028 Master Plan for the Marshalltown Parks & Recreation Department was formally approved by the City Council.
