A young man who had won a bull riding event at Maxwell just hours earlier was killed in a car accident according to the Jasper County Sheriffs Department. The victim in the fatal accident is identified at Ty Carlson. Carlson was 19. The accident happened north of Colfax as a pick up truck lost control and hit a power pole.
